FlowerByKenzo
This is a print advert for the perfume 'Flower' By Kenzo.
(BEST perfume EVER!!)
From this advert you can say the denotation would be it has a bright red rose sort of spread out upside-down, the connotation of this could be that its a symbol of passion and love, the colour of the rose would also give a clear idea for the smell, quite floral like. The target audience I think would be not for exactly teenagers by the way it's been put forward because of the colours used, they stand out but still simple at the same time, which makes it look more attractive, bold and also makes it stand out especially because of the Red. Back to the target audience, I think it would be directed at the ages 20-27 because even though it's not deigned for youths its still has that appealing look. The background is white, sort of contrasting with the red, which could denote that if you get this you could be a person with contrast and you could also be vibrant, and will make you fell 'hot'. It could also point out that this product is for those who mostly just like to smell good, in their everyday, any day or time and this is just the smell for you because everyone likes the smell of roses.
The flower and red could represent love or something along those lines maybe sexiness it could want you to know if you get this this is what it'll make you feel, attractive and give you more attention from others. The fact that that is the only colour that really stands out (other than the little bit of green) give syou more time to just think of more things in less time. If there was lots of diffrent colours you might not know what to think. Because its only red there might be for some people only maybe only limited points about the reasons for it being a red flower come to mind but they would be the well known ones that would want to make you buy it a bit more.
The typography is quite unique and I think it stands out alot from others because the designer made the tittle only a tiny distance away from the main image, so that once you have been caught by the redness you'll then look at the poster in detail, which would then make you automatically ask yourself what Brand or make the perfume is, and you'd want to see if it's a popular make. Straight away you'd see the name. And I love how he's made his name match with the main image in bold, so it stands out. Also all of the letters are in capital letters which could suggest that it's important product or person. The word 'Flower' is in thin italic sort of font which makes the advert stand out alot more.
The main bottle of the perfume is simple yet exquisite, this could make the audience want to know that it doesn't matter what your're personality is like may it even me simple and plain, but this product is still for you no matter who you are. You dont have to be an important person or celeb to get this. It's for general, normal people...
