Homework- Review of Survey
From my survey I found out many things; first of all 85% of the audience were aged 15-17 this showed me that the majority seemed to like to like these kinds of trailers; which include comdedy and a bit of drama. I also realized that in one of my questions I didn't give an option for those who didn't like the trailer; though this was done unintentionally, the results infer that still; everyone that took part either answered "good" or "exellent" to the question; "what is your overall opinion of this trailer" Generally the audience thought that it was an appealing trailer and 8 out of 13 people would go to watch this film. Not including "If I don't have to pay" answer.

Sixty Six Analysis.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SL7pNPk8hyI
The trailer begins straight away with the Institution name "Universal" this may be for the audience who like movies produced by them or have heard of the name; they be more likely to pay more attention to the trailer, because they know it would be a good production generally.
Soon after; there is non-diegetic sound and at the same time staright cut to the next scene.
The first official scene is with a long shot of four boys; this may have used to make the audience guess who the main charecter would be. Also the viewer sees the clothes that they are all wearing to give us an idea of the place that they are in and in the corner there is a water fountain which is normally in school's and because of the whistle sound we immidietley join all these hints together; that they are all in a school and in a P.E class.
There are many transitions used throughout the trailer; fade to white, dissolve to next scene but mostly straight cut. One of the first dialogue we hear is from Bernie himself; because he says "...and that's me" and when he says that there is a close up of his face to show his emotion when he is picked last.
However he doesn't say his own name. It's another charecter "Bernie" the way that he says he doesn't seem so happy about it or with a happy face which makes us know that he isn't liked in his class very much. His classmate doesn't use positive body language which is another hint given to us about the main charecter. There is also a voice over which backs up this theory "Bernie Reuben is dreamt of being remembered" "...where's Bernie" by his mother suddenly turning around to check, and staright away we get like a flashback- staright to Bernie yelling "HELLPPPP" at the beach now we definatley know he's never remembered or like even if it is his own family.
The music is slow paced with a jolly rhythem throught out but when it get's to the disequilibrium a few notes are repeated when the dilema is revealed and the camera does quick zoom in and out 3 times from long medium shot to close up. It could be to exagerate this part and make us realize that this wha the whole movie is about. "The World cup final is on the day of Bernies Barmitzwah"
Through out the trailer there is a voice over (non-american) who keeps sort of summing up what each scene is showing this is for those who don't understand what is happening.
There is also light humour used "Bollocks, Bollocks Bollocks" not not stress on the serious side too much, and whenver a really important dialogue from the narrater there is always a scene staright after which shows dialogue from the movie make it more serious and back up the point.
Finally the last dialogue is said by Bernie himself as a narraters to tell his story "If you havn't got alot of foreskin you need a lot of balls to make up for it"this is agin light humour again. And then the last scene is faded into the tittle screen "Sixt Six" with a black bacground to make the white and thered stand out so the tittle is more memorable also because the movie was made in the same year. It finishes off with "Coming Soon" to keep the intrested audience in anxiety and keep them looking out for for news. 'BAM' there is freeze frame of credits card at the end and the trailer is finsihed.
